Brett Hedlund

ACE – Filmmaker 

In 1993, Brett moved from Lincoln, NE to Los Angeles to begin a six-month internship  with Roger Corman’s Concorde/New Horizons. Within 18 months, he climbed the ranks from apprentice editor to assistant editor to editor.  

In 2010, Brett signed on to edit Born to Race with producer Ali Afshar and director Alex  Ranarivelo. As of now, Brett has collaborated with the ESX Entertainment team/family on 21 feature films and the television series Casa Grande for Amazon’s Freevee.  

Also in 2010, Brett founded the FilmStream Networking Group. Since its conception,  the membership has steadily grown to over 1,900 professionals in the film and television  industry. 

Brett made his directorial debut in 2018 with the thriller, The Stand at Paxton County which was released on Netflix in 2020. 

To date, Brett has edited over 80 feature films, multiple award-winning short films and  numerous episodes of television series, TV movies and package/show builds for daytime talk shows. In 2022, Brett was inducted into the American Cinema Editors (ACE)  honorary society.
